Adding recipients

When you create a transfer on PDFStore, you specify who should receive the files by entering their email address. The recipient does not need a PDFStore account to download your files.

How it works

  1. On the create transfer page, enter the recipient's email address in the "Recipient" field.
  2. PDFStore will send them an email containing a unique download link for your transfer.
  3. The recipient clicks the link and downloads the files directly — no sign-up required.

Recipient limits

On the Free plan, each transfer can be sent to 1 recipient. If you need to share the same files with multiple people, you can copy the share link from your dashboard and send it to them manually via email, messaging apps, or any other channel.

The Pro plan allows you to add up to 5 recipients per transfer. Each recipient receives their own email notification with the download link.

What recipients see

Recipients receive a clean, simple email from PDFStore containing:

  • Your name (the sender)
  • Any message you included with the transfer
  • A prominent download button/link
  • The expiry date of the transfer

If you set a password on the transfer, the recipient will need to enter it on the download page. You will need to share the password with them separately — it is not included in the email for security reasons.
