How to create an account
PDF Store is an invite-only service, so in most cases you need an invite before you can register. There are four ways to get one.
Ways to get an invite
- Someone invites you. An existing user enters your email address and we send you a link with the code already filled in.
- Someone sends you files. If you download a transfer that was sent to you, you are offered an account at the end of it. See getting an account after a download.
- You ask us. Fill in the request an invite form and tell us what you would use it for. We review these by hand.
- Your organisation is a partner. If your work email is on a domain we have set up as a partner, you can register without an invite code at all, and claim a free Pro account afterwards. See partner organisations.
Steps to register
- Visit the Sign Up page. If you followed an invite link, your code and email address are already filled in.
- Enter your name, email address, and a strong password.
- Enter your invite code, unless you are registering on a partner domain.
- Review and accept the Terms of Service.
- Click Register to create your account.
After registration
Once you have registered, you will need to verify your email address before you can use the service. Check your inbox for a verification email from PDF Store. See Verifying your email for more details.
We will also offer to set up two-factor authentication straight after your first sign in. It is optional, and you can leave it until later.
If your invite code will not work
Invite codes can only be used once, and they expire 7 days after they are sent. If yours is refused, it has most likely been used already or run out of time. Ask the person who invited you to resend it, which gives you another 7 days, or get in touch with us.
Invites are tied to the email address they were sent to, so you will need to register with that same address.
Once your account is active, you can invite people yourself. Free accounts get 3 invites, Pro accounts get 10.
