Password-protected downloads

Some transfers on PDFStore are protected with a password. If you visit a download link and are asked for a password, it means the sender has added this extra layer of security.

Entering the password

  1. Visit the transfer's download link.
  2. You will see a password prompt instead of the download button.
  3. Enter the password the sender shared with you and click the submit button.
  4. If the password is correct, the download page will load and you can download the files.

Where to get the password

For security reasons, PDFStore does not include transfer passwords in notification emails. The sender should have shared the password with you through a separate channel, such as a text message, phone call, or different messaging app.

If you have not received a password, contact the sender directly and ask them to provide it.

Password not working?

  • Check for typos — passwords are case-sensitive. Make sure caps lock is not on and that you are entering the password exactly as it was given to you.
  • Password may have changed — the sender can update the password at any time. If the password you were given no longer works, ask the sender if they have changed it.
  • Copy and paste — if the sender sent you the password in a message, try copying and pasting it directly to avoid any typing errors.
