How your files are stored

PDFStore is built with privacy and security as core priorities. Here is how your files are stored and managed.

Storage infrastructure

All files uploaded to PDFStore are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage, with data hosted in the European Union. Cloudflare R2 is an enterprise-grade storage service that provides high durability and availability.

Your files are not stored on shared hosting or consumer-grade servers. Cloudflare's infrastructure is designed for reliability, with built-in redundancy to protect against hardware failures.

File isolation

Each transfer's files are stored with unique identifiers. There is no way for one user to access another user's files through the system. Files can only be accessed via the specific share link generated for each transfer.

No third-party access

PDFStore does not share your files with third parties. We do not scan your files for advertising purposes, we do not use your data to train machine learning models, and we do not sell any information about your transfers.

Temporary by design

PDFStore is a file transfer service, not a permanent storage solution. All files are designed to be temporary:

  • Free plan files expire after 7 days.
  • Pro plan files will expire after 30 days.
  • Expired files are permanently deleted with no option for recovery.
  • You can also delete your files manually at any time before they expire.

This approach minimises the window during which your files exist on any server, reducing the risk of unauthorised access over time.
